Ongoing Openings

MyKabin is always in need of skilled carpenters with Journeyman level experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Construction carpentry experience to include concrete, framing, envelope, and trim install
  • Experience with high-end remodel and new build projects
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of buildings or other structures
  • Must be able to keep accurate records, perform timekeeping

Current Openings

Our Sales team is essential to helping us continue to grow rapidly – every successful Kabin project begins with a great sales experience, and the fundamental goal of our sales process is to create happy clients who will refer us to their friends and family. MyKabin’s Sales Development Representative is responsible for client outreach and for moving prospective clients through our pipeline: making initial contact, screening potential clients, and scheduling followup meetings. From time to time you may also manage open houses, give showroom tours, and lead client meetings.

The Sales Development Representative will

  • Manage new client sales from the point of first contact all the way through contract signing. Ultimately each sales representative should target ~2-4 new client contracts closed per month
  • Travel around the Puget Sound area (currently the western half of King County) to conduct site visits with prospective clients, host open houses, and close out client projects
  • Draft project proposals, letters of intent, scope summaries, and detailed contracts
  • Maintain clear and current documentation of current prospects in our CRM and other tools and participate in regular sales team meetings to review potential sales
  • Join regular meetings with MyKabin’s project management and construction teams to make sure that client projects are successful after contract
  • Communicate proactively with our prospective customers about site visits, inspections, cost estimates, etc
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct and mutual respect with clients and teammates
  • Continually find ways to improve our products and processes and better serve our clients

The ideal candidate will have

  • 5+ years successful track record estimating and selling construction projects and/or real estate, with a priority on helping clients achieve their individual visions. This is equal parts “soft” skill – empathy, respect, listening – and a deep technical understanding of the products and marketplace. Residential sales experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with residential construction and real estate, including the ability to review and discuss architectural plans and construction details with a non-technical audience
  • Adaptability, persistence, proactivity, and willingness to say “no” when a property or client isn’t a good fit
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability, persistence, proactivity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle a diverse workload
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CRMs, mapping tools, etc – and the ability to learn new tools and processes as we add them

This position offers a base salary commensurate with experience, plus revenue-based commissions. We offer a full package of benefits including healthcare match, competitive wages, unrestricted time off, company holidays, and a dynamic workplace

  • Maintain and update prospective client status in our CRM and project management tools
  • Support our field sales representatives in drafting proposals, letters of intent, scope summaries, and detailed contracts
  • Participate in regular sales team meetings to review potential sales
  • Communicate proactively with our prospective customers about site visits, proposals, etc
  • Conduct project close-outs with clients
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct and mutual respect with clients and teammates
  • Continually find ways to improve our products and processes and better serve our clients

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven success with phone- and email-based sales, particularly selling large, complex, multi-stage products and services
  • A successful track record of screening prospective clients and moving the best candidates into a sales pipeline, with particular attention paid to quickly understanding a client’s budget, goals, and timeline. This is equal parts “soft” skill – empathy, respect, listening – and a technical understanding of the products and marketplace.
  • Strong work ethic and a focus on productivity

  • Adaptability, persistence, proactivity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle a diverse workload
